It’s well documented that using light-emitting electronic devices prior to going to bed delays the circadian clock and suppresses levels of Melatonin (a sleep-promoting hormone) which results in more time required before falling asleep. Most of us are guilty of using such devices in the evening so if sleeping is an issue, replacing devices with coloring books can be beneficial.
Every human being expresses themselves differently, and many children are visual in nature. Coloring is a fertile vehicle for self expression as children make color decisions and flesh out the boundaries of a coloring page, sheet or book.
Regular coloring also improves confidence in your young kids. Completing a coloring sheet gives your kids a sense of accomplishment, which builds their self esteem and confidence.
